Biography
Returning to BTVI has been an exciting experiences for me. I say returning because I enrolled at BTVI, then Industrial Training College, in September 1987. This was a school that made me believe in myself and encouraged me to press on to achieve my goals to pursue a higher education. I left the Bahamas in January 1992 to attain a higher education in the area of Business Management. I received an Associates of Arts degree in May 1995 from Daytona Beach Community College.
I then went on to pursue my Bachelor's degree which I completed in May 1997 in the area of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Marketing, from the University of Central Florida. During my entire education, I had the pleasure of working in the educational institution, and it reminded me of my original passion to make a difference to those that feel left out and forgotten. I decided to follow my heart, pursue a degree in education. In September 2000 I recieved a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
I remained in the United States for a period of 14 years, before I returned home to The Bahamas, to give back to my homeland and be apart of the great things that is happening at our institution.
What do you like best about BTVI?
Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute is a place where every body can receive an education. Where people care about you and encourages you to go on even when many have told you that you cannot make it.
